The Neighbourhood Guide (Chapter 2) — Anomaly Detected
The Neighbourhood is Chapter 2 of Anomaly Detected — the second surveillance contract, released July 2026. Unlocks, badges, Journal, and tips.
The Neighbourhood is the second contract — released July 13, 2026, in the same wave that introduced the Journal badges. Where The Residence teaches the loop, this chapter starts testing it: a whole neighbourhood property means more feeds to cycle and more surface area for anomalies to hide in.

What is The Neighbourhood?
Chapter 2 of five. The client is a neighbourhood property — a bigger brief than a single home’s interior. The fundamentals are unchanged from the core loop: memorize every feed, spot the change, file the right category, meet quota before the site is overwhelmed.
How do I unlock it?
Finish a shift on any difficulty in The Residence. There is no skill gate beyond completing the previous contract — but jumping in under-prepared shows: more cameras means a longer memorization pass, and anomalies you miss early compound into overwhelm risk later.
What badges does The Neighbourhood have?
| Badge | Requirement | Rarity note |
|---|---|---|
| Completion | Finish a Neighbourhood shift | Common |
| Veteran completion | Clear on Veteran mode | Uncommon |
| Journal 100% | Catalog every documented anomaly on this map | Extremely rare — only 26 earners worldwide |
The Journal system launched in this chapter’s release wave — Chapter 1’s Journal badge appeared July 11 and this one followed July 19. That head start is why Chapter 1’s Journal badge has slightly more earners (57) despite The Residence being the easier grind.
What cameras does The Neighbourhood have?
Twelve outdoor feeds, covering the street front and back of the block. Notably, this chapter’s clock reads as an Uptime counter rather than the indoor chapters’ AM timestamps:
| Street 1 | Street 2 | Store |
| House 1 | House 2 | House 3 |
| Streetlight | Traffic Light | Cul-De-Sac |
| Alleyway | Backyard 1 | Backyard 2 |

Any tips for this chapter?
- Do the full memorization pass every shift. More feeds means more surface area to track — lighting and shadow changes are easy to miss, so give Misplaced Shadow candidates a second look before filing.
- Budget your fails for ambiguous calls. If a change might be structural or surface, verify on a second pass through the feeds before filing.
- Bring a partner. More feeds means more simultaneous blind spots — splitting camera coverage on co-op shifts pays off here.
The complete Journal for The Neighbourhood is still being documented — this page updates as the community catalog grows.
