The Hospital Guide (Chapter 4) — Anomaly Detected
The Hospital is Chapter 4 of Anomaly Detected — released September 4, 2026 with the Unlimited Items pass. Unlocks, badges, Journal, and tips.
The Hospital opened September 4, 2026 alongside the Unlimited Items gamepass — the fourth contract, and the one whose Journal badge is the rarest in the game. Institutional wards, long corridors, and uniform clinical lighting are exactly the kind of environment where lighting and shadow changes slip past a tired observer.
The Main Lobby feed — the client site is Ashford Medical Center, and unlike the earlier chapters its cameras run on normal lighting rather than night vision. (Community gameplay capture.)
What is The Hospital?
Chapter 4 of five. The client is a hospital property — Ashford Medical Center, per the lobby signage — with ward rooms, corridors, and clinical spaces under surveillance. Its feeds are fully lit instead of green-tinted night vision, which changes the spotting game: anomalies hide in plain light. Uniform institutional lighting is exactly the environment where two of the subtler anomaly categories get missed: Lighting Change and Misplaced Shadow reports deserve a double-check here.
How do I unlock it?
Clear The School on any difficulty. The Hospital assumes you already run a disciplined camera cycle — the core loop at this stage is less about spotting obvious changes and more about not going blind during long quiet stretches.
What badges does The Hospital have?
| Badge | Requirement | Rarity note |
|---|---|---|
| Completion | Finish a Hospital shift | Common |
| Veteran completion | Clear on Veteran mode | Uncommon |
| Journal 100% | Catalog every documented anomaly on this map | Rarest in the game — only 4 players have earned it |
Four completions worldwide makes this the hardest badge in Anomaly Detected as of September 2026 — see the badges guide for how it compares across chapters.
What cameras does The Hospital have?
Nine feeds cover the facility:
| Main Lobby | Emergency Hallway |
| Patient Room | ICU Ward |
| X-Ray Room | Staff Break Room |
| Nurse Station | Cafeteria |
| Triage Area |
The ICU Ward feed — beds, monitors, and curtain tracks give object anomalies a lot of hiding places. (Community gameplay capture.)
Any tips for The Hospital?
- Baseline the lights first. Before memorizing objects, note which lights are on in every feed — a lighting anomaly in a bright ward is easy to rationalize away.
- Shadows without casters are reports, not ambiance. A shadow with no object throwing it is a Misplaced Shadow anomaly — file it.
- Bring items if you are pushing Journal entries. The $50 Anomaly Spawner and $85 Type Scanner turn guessy hunts into targeted ones — see the store items page for what each does.
- Veteran attempts here are endgame. Only ~590 players worldwide hold the Veteran badge — warm up on earlier chapters first.
The Hospital’s verified Journal is still being documented — with only four 100% completions in the world, every entry here is frontier knowledge. Next up: The Mall, due ~September 20.
